Existing Issues
Education Inequality
Education inequality is evident in the quality of education in various schools as well as the provision of mental health education. Most private schools usually have student counselors and well-being lectures while public schools in poor areas could not afford extra mental education. Our program provides an equal opportunity for these underprivileged kids to access psychological education.

Degenerating Mental Well-Being
Mental well-being is usually seen as less important since the public doesn't have enough awareness of its importance. Moreover, the COVID-19 lockdown and social distancing exacerbate people’s mental condition. Our program is expected to raise awareness of mental well-being and share the psychological language among the young generation and their parents.

Core Operations
Arts in Action does not offer mental health counseling services. Nevertheless, understanding the profound impact that the global pandemic has had on the mental health of children, we propose utilizing various art forms to ease their stress. As student leaders with experiences in both China and the United States, we are dedicated to addressing the well-being of children in their countries, particularly those who lack access to psychological care and education. Our approach centers around providing mentorship and problem-solving through art and music, organizing an annual convention, and educating about mental health. Our primary objective is to raise awareness of potential mental health issues and promote positive coping mechanisms through creative expression.
